About GeoVera
GeoVera is a specialty catastrophe-property insurer founded in 1997 and headquartered in Fairfield, California, and is among the leading providers of residential earthquake insurance in the country. Beyond earthquake coverage in California, Oregon, and Washington, GeoVera underwrites coastal homeowners, landlord, vacant-home, and wind-only policies in Florida and other Gulf and Atlantic coast states. In a 2026 restructuring, its carriers combined with SafePort Insurance Company under a new holding company, GeoVera Nova Holdings, while its program-administration arm was acquired by SageSure. Policies are sold through independent agents.
